Kothagudem: An aged woman, who could not bear her son’s death, has died of heart stroke even before the last rites of her son were performed at Yellandu town in the district on Tuesday.
It was said that a man Pasupuleti Narender (60), who serves as a hereditary malik for locally famous Imam Khasim Ashurkhana (dargah) at Sitarama talkies area, suffered a heart stroke during his recent visit to Bisugir Sharif dargah in Karimnagar and died while undergoing treatment in Hyderabad on Monday.
His mother P Sulochana (80), who lives with her second son Krishna at Vizag in AP, came to Yellandu on Monday night to pay last respects to her son. The grieving woman suffered a heart stroke while her son’s body was being taken to the graveyard for final rites.
The family members rushed her to a local hospital for treatment and the doctors after examining Sulochana declared her dead. A pall of gloom descended on the town following the death of Narender and his mother within 24 hours.
Former municipal chairman M Venkat Goud and a large number of public visited Narender’s house to pay last respects as he earned a good name while serving as the dargah malik by quitting his job in SCCL.
