Kothagudem: ACB sleuths on Monday caught Agriculture Assistant Director Ulloju Narsimha Rao red-handed while accepting a bribe from a fertiliser shop owner.
He allegedly demanded Rs 25,000 from the shop owner to abstain from taking action against the shop for selling urea bags without a proper invoice and Form O, a certificate of source required for carrying out wholesale or retail fertiliser sales.
The tainted money was recovered. The accused was arrested and will be produced before the special judge for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal. The case is under investigation, an official release said.
