Hyderabad: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly moving beyond the realm of technology and emerging as a powerful force capable of transforming every aspect of healthcare, according to Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Clinical Director and Robotic Surgical Oncologist at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City.
Speaking at “AI-Driven Precision Oncology: Powering the Era of Personalised Care” during the “AI in Healthcare 2.0” international conference on Saturday, Dr Sunkavalli said the integration of AI into medicine is ushering in a new era of precision, efficiency and personalised care.
He described AI as one of the most significant developments in modern healthcare, capable of helping doctors make faster and more accurate clinical decisions while improving patient outcomes.
Sunkavalli said healthcare systems across the world are witnessing a major shift in the way diseases are diagnosed, treated and monitored.
Artificial intelligence, he noted, is increasingly supporting physicians in interpreting complex medical data, identifying diseases at an earlier stage and designing treatment plans tailored to individual patients.
Sunkavalli said AI-powered tools are helping reduce diagnostic errors, streamline hospital workflows and enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery. “While technology cannot replace doctors, it can significantly augment their capabilities and allow them to devote more time to patient care,” he said.
