Mumbai: AI-powered sports technology platform Kabuni on Sunday launched a global cricket coaching platform aimed at making elite-level training accessible to players of all backgrounds through real-time, personalized feedback.

Unveiled at the company’s Playtime 2026 event in Mumbai, the platform uses its proprietary Kabuni PlayOS technology to analyze live play and assess key aspects such as timing, balance, footwork, and alignment. This provides instant coaching insights that were previously available only at elite academies.

The company stated that the platform’s goal is to place a “world-class cricket coach in every player’s pocket,” thereby encouraging young people to spend more time playing sports and less time on passive screen activities.

To bolster its launch, Kabuni has signed a marquee group of celebrated cricketers—including Sourav Ganguly, Shane Watson, AB de Villiers, and Shreyas Iyer—to serve as its “Super Coaches.”

India has been chosen as the initial launch market before a planned global rollout later this year. The company cited the country’s vast cricket-playing population and robust grassroots ecosystem as primary reasons for prioritizing the Indian market.
