Hyderabad: The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO), Telangana State Council, on Tuesday condemned the anti-student decision of TGSRTC to impose a 50% increase in student bus pass charges, stating that this decision would severely impact poor and middle-class students.
B Rajashekar, Member of the Central Committee, AIDSO; M Nithish, State Vice-President, AIDSO; N Nagaraju, Secretary of the Hyderabad District Committee; and members Karthik and Manohar, in a statement, noted that many students are unable to afford bus pass charges, hindering their ability to attend colleges and institutions. The hike would only exacerbate their difficulties.
The AIDSO State Committee has demanded that this decision be immediately rescinded and that reasonable prices be established for passes to alleviate the financial burden on students and their families, adding that they will intensify their movement across the state.
