Hyderabad: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) conducted its Special General Body Meeting (SGBM) on Saturday in Kolkata to deliberate on the adoption of the National Sports Governance Act, 2025 (NSGA).

The meeting was attended by 19 Executive Committee members, 32 representatives from Member State Associations, and officials from FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

During the session, the General Body unanimously approved the adoption of the NSGA by the AIFF.

It was further discussed that the draft Constitution for the Member Associations would be shared with them, allowing 15 days to respond with final suggestions.

The Federation also deliberated on the Master Rights Agreement (MRA), for which bids have been received from two entities. The General Body unanimously approved that the Executive Committee be empowered to negotiate and finalize the MRA.
