AIG Hospitals signs MoU with ICMR for digital health research

AIG Hospitals has signed an MoU with ICMR to collaborate on digital health, healthcare management and translational medicine. The partnership will focus on joint research, funding opportunities and innovation aimed at delivering scalable and impactful healthcare solutions.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospitals has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to collaborate on innovation in digital health, healthcare management, and translational medicine.

Under the scope of this MoU, both institutions will undertake joint research studies in key areas such as digital health, healthcare delivery models, and allied disciplines.


The collaboration will also focus on co-developing grant proposals, accessing national and international funding opportunities, and facilitating the exchange of expertise, data, and scientific knowledge, while adhering to all regulatory and ethical frameworks.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, said, “The collaboration with ICMR aims to create solutions that are not only scientifically robust but also scalable and impactful for the larger population.”

Dr Rajiv Bahl, Director General, ICMR, said: “ICMR and AIG together can generate high-quality evidence, foster innovation, and ensure that research outcomes are translated into tangible benefits for patients and the healthcare system.”
