AIMIM begins its campaign for municipal elections in Telangana
The All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen has launched its campaign for the municipal polls across the State, with party president Asaduddin Owaisi leading outreach programmes. The party is banking on its past electoral performance in Telangana, Maharashtra and Bihar

Hyderabad: The All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen has commenced its campaign for the municipal polls across the State.
The party leadership, including president Asaduddin Owaisi, is participating in the campaign across the State. The Hyderabad MP toured Tandur, Nalgonda and Sangareddy over the last three days and interacted with local people there.
The AIMIM floor leader and Chandrayangutta MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi, will join the party campaign from Wednesday. He will address a public meeting in Mahabubnagar on Wednesday. Thousands of locals are expected to attend the meeting.
The party had a good presence in the Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Karimnagar municipal corporations, while it bagged several seats in municipalities of Vikarabad, Tandur, Bhainsa and other places in the past.
The AIMIM had performed well in the local body elections held in the State. The party also increased its tally in local bodies and municipalities in Maharashtra recently. It had also bagged five seats in the recently held Assembly elections in Bihar.
Party cadres are jubilant over the success of the party in the elections in Maharashtra and Bihar.
