Hyderabad: With an aim to provide a one-stop solution to OTT content consumers, Airtel has launched its Xstream Premium that aggregates content from 15 video apps.
The platform provides a single login, single search and single subscription and is available for viewing across all types of screens. The new video streaming service is available at an introductory price of Rs 149 per month.
For the customers today, dozens of OTT entertainment app options are available to choose from; which are offering them the latest content. However, customers end up managing multiple apps and subscriptions simultaneously. Airtel Xstream Premium launch unlocks the world of video streaming entertainment for India’s growing tribe of digitally connected customers.
With this launch, the company is targeting 20 million subscriptions and plans to collaborate with more OTT players in the near future. Currently, it aggregates content from 15 Indian and global video OTT’s in one app and customers will get access to over 10,500 movies and shows plus live channels. For the content developers, this provides an opportunity to build distribution into the emerging market with Airtel’s scale and digital distribution capabilities, the company said.
