AITA Championship: Telangana’s Akshaya wins tennis title
In the final, she triumphed over statemate Aswitha Reddy Kankanala 6-3, 6-2 to emerge as the winner
Hyderabad: Telangana tennis player Akshaya Reddy Motati clinched the girls’ singles title at the AITA Championship Series U-12 Boys & Girls Tennis Tournament at Ash Tennis Academy, Shamirpet, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
In the final, she triumphed over statemate Aswitha Reddy Kankanala 6-3, 6-2 to emerge as the winner. In the other matches, state player G Vishwak Reddy lost to Dhanush SM 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in the hard-fought boys’ final. Meanwhile, the duo of Dhanush and Vishwak defeated Kabilayayati and Vedant Sahu 6-2, 7-5 to win the boys’ doubles final.
