Ajay Devgn goes green

Speaking after the launch, Devgn expressed serious concern on increase of pollution and stressed the importance of protecting the environment.

As part of Green India Challenge, environment lovers planted five thousand saplings at the Malkapur Industrial Park. The programme was attended by MP Santhosh Kumar and Bollywood star Ajay Devgn. During the launch of the programme, around hundred industrialists, 110 artists and 300 green lovers participated and hailed the importance of improving green cover.

Speaking after the launch, Devgn expressed serious concern on increase of pollution and stressed the importance of protecting the environment. “I am very grateful to see Santhosh Kumar, who started the Green India Challenge, taking it seriously for the well-being of society,” he said.

Santosh Kumar welcomed NV Foundation’s contribution in this regard and thanked Ajay Devgn for extending support for the nobel cause. So far, celebrities including Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Dutt, Shruti Haasan, Shraddha Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Sania Mirza took part in the challenge.
