Akshara Vaagdevi Int’l School celebrates its investiture ceremony

The newly elected head boy Sachin Keerthi Vasu and head girl Amrutha Varshini expressed their gratitude to the principal and all the students for having faith in their abilities to hold this position of responsibility.

Akshara Vaagdevi International School in collaboration with Pallavi Model School celebrated its virtual investiture ceremony for the session 2021-2022 on July 10. The ceremony commenced by welcome speech and inviting the chief guest Air Commodore TSS Krishnan, chairman of Pallavi Group of Schools and Engineering College Komariah, founder chairman of Akshara Vaagdevi PL Srinivas, and other dignitaries.

It was followed by lamp lighting and a welcome dance by Anchal Soni and Manju Sirvi. The march past by all the prefects was a treat to the eyes. The school leaders were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and, honesty. The honour of pinning the badges and sashes was done by their parents which was led by the command of the school, physical educator Charan Singh, amidst the drumming of bands in the background.

TSS Krishnan administered the pledge wherein all the young leaders took an oath to do their duties sincerely and uphold the school’s tradition with discipline and integrity. Addressing the gathering the chief guest, quoted “A team is good as a leader and a leader is good as the team,” and encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible towards school and the nation. He encouraged the students to learn to question.

He also addressed the parents quoting the tag lines “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Beta Padhao Beta Samjhao”. PL Srinivas shared anecdotes about his memories as a student leader. Principal Vanaja congratulated all the elected members and commended the ability and spirit, in each one of them.

She appreciated the students with 100% attendance for the academic session 2020-21 and lauded the parents for their constant support. Academic coordinator Rachana expressed gratitude to the outgoing council members for their efforts in ensuring a smooth and swift transition to the virtual platform.

She congratulated the newly elected members and guided them to be brave, honest, creative and relentless in fulfilling every responsibility that they undertake. The occasion ended with the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
