Mahabubabad: In a shocking incident, a man axed his sibling to death at Reponi village of Danthalapally mandal in the district.
The deceased was identified as Veeraboina Gangaiah (35), while the accused is as his elder brother Venkanna. The incident happened on Thursday night following a quarrel between the brothers on some petty issues after consuming liquor.
According to the police, both of them were unmarried and were eking out a living as labourers. They were allegedly addicted to alcohol. The accused turned himself in to the police after the incident. The police shifted the body for postmortem to the Government Area Hospital, Mahabubabad. Investigation is under way.
