Hyderabad: There was once a time when most of the actors in Telugu cinema would look forward to working with Bollywood stars. However, with some recent hits in the Telugu industry, the plates seem to have turned and now, prominent actors in Hindi cinema look for an opportunity to pair up with South actors.

The trend having started with Bollywood actors showing their interest in working with actor Samantha, now seems to have forwarded to Allu Arjun who has simply become a heartthrob of several female actors from the Hindi film industry after his rusty performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

Now, one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt too has expressed her wish of sharing the screen with Allu Arjun. In one of her recent interviews with Bollywood Hungama, the ‘Raazi’ actor shared, “My entire family has watched ‘Pushpa’ and became fans of Allu Arjun. They are asking me when I will get a chance to get paired opposite him.”

On a funny note, the actor also shares that she is called ‘Aalu’, which is a potato in Hindi, at home. “My family is asking me ‘Aalu, when will you work with Allu?’ and I just say I’ll be more than glad to jump aboard if I get a chance to work with him,” she further shared.

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is enjoying some insane success at the box office worldwide even after 50 days of its release and still running successfully in theatres. The movie, officially declared as a blockbuster, has already broken all the records by earning over Rs 100 crore (Hindi version) and has become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2021.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is all set to make her debut in Telugu cinema with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’. The film also stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan and also Ajay Devgn.
