All arrangements in place for MLC elections in Warangal
The polling will be held from 8 am to 4 pm at 87 polling stations in Warangal Urban district on Sunday

Warangal: The authorities of the six districts of the erstwhile Warangal district made all arrangements for a free and fair polling for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduate MLC constituency elections. The polling will be held from 8 am to 4 pm at 87 polling stations in Warangal Urban district on Sunday (March 14).
“We have distributed the ballot papers and boxes and appointed a total of 1,129 polling staff including 478 policemen,” said Warangal Urban Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu. As many as 14 RTC ‘Palle Velugu’ buses have been pressed into service to shift the polling staff and the material from the Kakatiya Government College (KGC), Hanamkonda.
Meanwhile, as many as 71 candidates are in the fray for the elections as against 22 candidates in the previous elections. The total number of voters of the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduate MLC constituency is 5,05,565.
Officials have set up a total of 731 polling stations to help the voters exercise their franchise without hassles. The counting of the votes will be held on March 17 and as many as 56 tables have been set up in eight halls to count the votes at the Nalgonda Marketing Department godown. On the other hand, the Election Commission has instructed the Returning Officers (RO) to implement Covid norms strictly. It also advised the voters to carry an identification card besides the voter slip. All arrangements are in place for the webcasting besides setting up CCTV cameras at polling stations.
