Warangal: All arrangements have been made for the administration of Covid vaccine at 21 identified government hospitals in the erstwhile Warangal district from January 16, said Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao. In a press release, the Minister said 2,640 doses (264 vials) have been distributed to Warangal Urban district, while 580 doses have been supplied to Warangal Rural district.
“Another 1,720 doses to Mahabubabad district and 830 doses for Jangaon district were distributed by the government, while 560 doses for Mulugu district and 500 doses to Jayashankar Bhupalpally district were distributed,” he added. Dayakar Rao said that the doctors will check the body temperature of the persons once they enter a hospital. If they show symptoms of Covid-19, they will not be allowed inside. The vaccine will not be administered to Covid positive patients or persons with Covid-19 symptoms.
“After receiving the first dose, the person will receive a message on his/her mobile phone informing the date of the second dose. After the completion of the second dose, the person will receive a certificate that he/she was undergone vaccination,” he said. The Minister added that ICU beds are being set up in hospitals across the State to provide immediate treatment in case anyone develops health issues after vaccination.
He said the government had decided to use advanced syringes to administer the vaccines. “The syringes will be disposed in a scientific manner once the vaccine is administered. A call centre will be set up at the State level to provide suggestions and advice in case of any side effects during the vaccination programme,” he said. He appealed to the public representatives, doctors, paramedical staff, officials and employees to make the programme a great success.
