Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jganmohan Reddy has alleged that the Telugu Desam Party was unscrupulously trying to foist all actions of its regime on the present YSR Congress Party government.
Participating in a discussion in the Assembly here on Wednesday, he cited the example of cheap liquor brands in the state which were now being criticised strongly by the TDP leaders. It was the Chandrababu Naidu government which gave permission to 14 of the 20 distilleries in the State while the YSRCP government did not accord permission even for a single distillery or brewery since 2019, he recalled.
“It would be better if Chandrababu’s surname is changed to Sara instead of Nara. Our brands are Navaratnalu, Amma Vodi, etc., while President Medal, Governor Choice, Boom Boom beer, Power Star 999, 999 Legend..all these brands are Chandranna Kanuka. The President Medal brand is Chandrababu Medal brand. Governor Choice 2018 was accorded permission on November 5, 2018 by Chandrababu. He was granting permissions non-stop for liquor brands till the last minute before he stepped down. As many as 254 brands were introduced during his regime..all his trademark brands,” he stated.
