Karimnagar: Electoral Roll Observer M Veerabramaiah advised all the people who crossed 18 years of age by January 1, 2022, to enrol their names in the voter list. Veerabhamaiah along with Collector RV Karnan participated in a review meeting on voter enrollment and correction held in the collectorate conference hall here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the observer said that as part of the every year voters edit process, the final voter list would be displayed on January 5, 2022, by enrolling new voters from January 1, 2022. As part of it, booth level officers (BLOs) would organise a special drive in all polling stations from November 6 to 28 to help people to enrol as voters through form-6. Similarly, the names of people who died would be removed through form-7 to be submitted by their family members or suo-moto. Besides double voters, the names of the people who migrated permanently to other places should also be removed from the voter list.
People, whose residential area and polling booth was located in different areas, could also correct it through form-8, he said and instructed 1,339 BLOs to conduct a special voter correction programme in 1,339 polling stations. Collector Karnan said electoral draft publications of Karimnagar, Choppadandi, and Manakondur Assembly Constituencies were displayed on November 1, 2021. The electoral draft of Huzurabad constituency will be displayed on November 6, 2021.
Draft publication along with 3,38,900 voters of Karimnagar constituency, 2,23,366 Choppadandi, and 2,13,185 voters of the Manakondur segment was displayed. There are 390 polling stations in Karimnagar, 327 in Choppadandi, 316 in Manakondur and 306 in the Huzurabad segment. Informing that a BLO was appointed for every polling station, he informed that voter enrolment and correction would be taken up on November 6,7, 27 and 28. Form-6, 7, 8 and 8 A are available with BLOs.
He wanted political parties to enrol the youths who crossed 18 years of age as voters by appointing booth level agents in all polling stations and removing the names of deceased persons from the voter list. Names and phone numbers of booth level officers of all 1,339 polling stations were provided to political parties. On January 5, the final voter list would be announced by examining claims and objectives, collector informed.
