Hyderabad: Here is good news for former international footballers. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has launched a laudable scheme to provide support to players and technical staff. The AIFF will give financial help for those footballers who are hospitalized.
Former Indian captain Victor Amalraj praised AIFF for this fine gesture. “Those who have represented India since 1950 can apply and each request will be assessed as per the guidelines laid down.”
“Das said that while in the past the AIFF has helped several players and officials on a case to case basis, this scheme has been launched to formalise the procedure and lay down guidelines by which support will be given to the eligible persons. Further information is available on the AIFF website.’’
