Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government was taking all measures to control coronavirus and COVID patients were being provided proper treatment, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Health Alla Nani said here on Wednesday.

Talking to media persons here, he said the number of beds were increased to 37,000 in hospitals for COVID patients, and adequate quantity of oxygen was also made available. There was no need to panic, he said.

The government was also taking steps to ensure there was no shortage of remdesivir vials and so far, over 62 lakh were vaccinated in the State, he revealed.

The minister alleged that the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu was talking irresponsibly and creating panic among the public. It was a pity he was resorting to politicisation even during the crisis, he remarked.
