Hyderabad: Despite unrest across the State over his government failing to keep its promises, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday claimed that the Six Guarantees assured to the people of Telangana were implemented.
Addressing the media in Mumbai, he claimed without batting an eyelid that the guarantees assured to people were implemented systematically. Accusing BJP leaders of spreading lies in Maharashtra, he said even Prime Minister Narendra Modi was spreading canards against his government.
“We will continue to tell the truth to the people until Prime Minister Narendra Modi stops spreading lies. This is the reason I came to Mumbai to apprise people of the truth about the implementation of six Guarantees in Telangana,” Revanth Reddy claimed.
Stressing that highest number of farmer suicides was reported in Maharashtra followed by Telangana in the past, he alleged that the previous government did not implement the promised crop loan waiver. The Centre too had deceived farmers, he said.
“After neglecting the farmers and their welfare, especially failing to offer MSP, Modiji contemplated to introduce ‘black laws ‘ to benefit Adani and Ambani. We gave befitting answers to Modi’s criticism on farmers issue in Telangana and Modiji deleted his tweet,” Revanth Reddy said, claiming that his had waived off crop loans worth Rs.17,869 crore, relieving 22,22,067 farmers from debt burden. Likewise, under the Mahalakshmi scheme, domestic cooking gas cylinders were being offered at Rs.500, benefitting 49 lakh families.
“The promises have reached saturation. Free power to households is saturation, Rs.500 cylinder is saturation and farmers’ crop loan waiver saturation. Jobs have been provided for all the job notifications issued by the Telangana government,” Revanth Reddy claimed.
Replying to a query on the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s partner Uddhav Thackeray opposing the Adani Group taking up the Dharavi project when the Telangana government was welcoming his investments, Revanth Reddy said Modi was giving money to Adani, when he was taking money from Adani’s pocket.
