Hyderabad: Students from Telangana have achieved cent per cent passes in the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations results announced by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Saturday.

While 4,685 students including 2,282 boys and 2,403 girls appeared for the ICSE exams from 40 schools and 922 with 365 boys and 557 girls took the ISC exams from 14 schools, the pass percentage in both the exams stood at 100.

Given the Covid-19 pandemic second wave, the CISCE had cancelled the ICSE and ISC exams, and results were prepared based on the alternate assessment policy decided by the Council. The Class X results were announced considering average marks of papers/subjects scored by students in various tests conducted by the School at the Class IX and Class X levels during the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. The internal assessment marks (project and practical work) of the ICSE 2021 examination were also considered.

Similarly, the Class XII results were declared taking the average marks of papers/subjects scored by students in various examinations conducted by the School at the Class XI and Class XII levels in the academic years 2019-20 & 2020-21 respectively. Also, average marks in English + best four subjects at the Class X level besides marks of the project work and/or practical examination for the ISC 2021 examination were taken into consideration. Like last year, there would be no merit list this time too, the CISCE said.

For the ICSE 2021 examination, there were 59 written subjects of which 22 were Indian languages, 11 foreign languages and one classical language, it said. In the case of ISC 2021 examination, there were 50 written subjects of them 13 were Indian languages, five foreign languages and two classical languages, it added.

The results can be accessed from the website http://www.cisce.org.
