Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has fixed April 10 as the date of the next hearing on the Krishna Janmbhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute case in Mathura.
Justice Avnish Saxena on Saturday fixed April 10 as the next date of hearing after the counsels representing the two sides urged the court to defer the matter.
At the centre of the controversy is the Aurangzeb-era Shahi Idgah mosque, which a section of Hindus has claimed had been built after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
The Hindu side has filed 18 suits for the possession of the land and restoration of the temple.
