Hyderabad: Telugu actor and Pushpa – 2 hero Allu Arjun moved the Telangana High Court for quashing the criminal case registered against him in the death of a woman in a stampede in a theatre in Hyderabad during the release of his blockbuster movie Pushpa -2.

The Telangana High Court judge Justice Sridevi, however, said the lunch motion would be considered only after 4 p.m. on Friday.

Earlier, the Public Prosecutor had vehemently opposed the moving of the lunch motion between 1 p.m and 1.30 p.m. saying that lunch motions are generally moved in the morning. He argued that lunch motions of other petitioners were not considered and Allu Arjun‘s lunch motion could not be considered as a special case.

Justice Sridevi concurred with the argument, but senior counsel representing the actor, S Niranjan Reddy said the lunch motion could be taken up and that he would come up with valid reasons when the court hears it. Following this the court said it would take up the issue at 4 p.m.
