Allu Arjun’s Pushpa releasing on OTT? Flier triggers confusion among fans
Hyderabad: A flier stating that Allu Arjun’s new blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is going to be out on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video has surprised everyone on social media. The news first made some of the audiences who missed out on the film in theatres happy. But the reality is far from the speculation. A poster in the Malayalam language sparked confusion among the fans as it did rounds on social media that the film is releasing on OTT streaming platform on January 7. The social media handle of the OTT platform has been replying to the queries saying that no such announcement has been made.
Meanwhile, ‘Pushpa’ theatrical run is likely to continue further because of fewer films releasing this Sankranti. As SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has been postponed inordinately without further announcement date, Allu Arjun would cash on the space. If Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ too opts out of the race this January, the box office run for ‘Pushpa’ will continue adding more bucks to its already Rs 300 crore tally.
The Hindi version of ‘Pushpa’ is also doing quite well in various States. With no new films getting released in Hindi in many States due to the Omicron scare, the makers are hopeful of good money. Meanwhile, the cast and crew of ‘Pushpa’ have got together in the city on Monday evening to celebrate the success of the film.
