Amaravati Royals retain Vihari in Andhra Premier League auction

Vihari has been retained by Amaravati Royals for Rs 10 lakhs in the players auction held in Visakhapatnam, featuring seven franchisees

Hyderabad: India cricketer G. Hanuma Vihari has been retained by Amaravati Royals for Rs 10 lakhs in the players auction held in Visakhapatnam, featuring seven franchisees, for the Andhra Premier League T-20 cricket championship starting from August 8.

The other familiar names include Indian all-rounder K. Nitish Kumar Reddy, currently playing for India in the England series (Bhimavaram Bulls), India wicketkeeper K.S. Bharat (Kakinada Kings), India under-19 cricketer Shaik Rasheed for Royals of Rayalaseema, Andhra Ranji captain Ricky Bui (Simhadri Vizag Lions.


The list of retained players:

G. Hanuma Vihari (Amaravati Royals – Rs 10 lakhs).
Ashwin Hebbar (Vijayawada Sunrisers – Rs 10 lakhs)

Sheikh Rasheed (Royals Of Rayalaseema -Rs 10 lakhs).
C.H. Stephen (Tungabhadra Warriors -Rs 7 lakhs).

K.V. Sasikant (Tungabhadra Warriors – Rs 5 lakhs).
Ricky Bhui (Simhadri Vizag Lions – Rs 10.26 lakhs).

K.S. Bharat (Kakinada Kings – Rs 10 lakhs).
K. Nitish Kumar Reddy (Bhimavaram Bulls- Rs 10 lakhs).

Royals of Rayalaseema successfully bid for Pyla Avinash available in the marquee players list for Rs 11.05 lakhs while P.V. Satyanarayana Raju, who played for Mumbai Indians in the last IPL, was bid by Bhimavaram Bulls for Rs 9.80 lakhs and T. Vijay for Rs 7.55 lakhs by Simhadri Vizag Lions.
