Amit Shah to begin three-day Goa visit, chair Western Zonal Council meeting

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin a three-day Goa visit on September 5. He will review state-related matters, address narcotics concerns, inaugurate BJP’s Atal Bhavan, meet the party’s core committee, chair the Western Zonal Council and attend Goa Police’s President’s Colours ceremony

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin a three-day visit to Goa on September 5, during which he will chair a meeting of the Western Zonal Council, officials said on Friday. On Sunday, Shah will chair a meeting to review matters concerning Goa across various divisions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the officials said.

It will be followed by a press conference by the minister on narcotics. Later in the day, Shah will inaugurate the state office building of the BJP, Atal Bhavan. He will also chair a meeting of the party’s state core committee.

The minister will chair the Western Zonal Council meeting on Monday morning. He will conclude the visit by attending the Goa Police President’s Colours Award Ceremony at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao, the officials said.
