Khammam: An auto rickshaw driver cum social worker in Wyra mandal of Khammam has launched a campaign advising the public to seek admission in government schools for their children .

The auto rickshaw driver, Shaik Lateef of Siripuram Kakanagiri (KG) has been carrying out the campaign voluntarily for the past six days ahead of the beginning of the next academic year in the villages which he visits daily to pick up and drop the passengers.

He takes a brief break from his work and holding a megaphone speaker explains to the public about the benefits of government run schools. He tells the villages that enrolling their children in government schools paves the way for their bright future.

Lateef highlights that government schools are now offering English-medium instruction alongside computer science, featuring spacious classrooms, restrooms, urinals, expansive playgrounds and a pleasant natural environment filled with lush green trees.

Referring to the previous BRS regime’s ‘Mana Ooru Mana Badi’ initiative, the auto rickshaw driver encouraged the villagers to enroll their children in government schools. He draws the public’s attention to the fact that the state run schools offer high-quality education with experienced teachers besides mid-day meals with fine-quality rice, eggs three times a week and Ragi Java.

Speaking to Telangana Today, Lateef noted that enrolling children in government schools is everyone’s duty, a collective responsibility shared by all. He said he is happy to carry out the campaign at Siripuram KG, Punyapuram, Narapanenipalli, Goundlapalem, Stage Pinapaka and others.

It might be noted that Lateef, as part of his social work, offers free auto-rickshaw services for pregnant women and to students who attend SSC exams. In addition to that he pays fees for SSC students from poor family background for their final exams besides felicitating top rankers from the villages.
