Andhra MLC alleges Rs 25 lakh land fraud in Hyderabad, complaint lodged

Andhra Pradesh MLC C Ramachandraiah has alleged that he was cheated of Rs 25 lakh by a man and his son who purportedly promised to sell him 5.5 acres of land in Madhapur, Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh MLC C Ramachandraiah has allegedly been cheated of Rs 25 lakh by a man identified as Gopal and his son, who reportedly promised to sell him 5.5 acres of land in Madhapur.

According to the complaint, the suspects allegedly convinced the MLC that they could sell the land and collected nearly Rs 25 lakh from him. The alleged fraud came to light when Ramachandraiah discovered that the land did not belong to them.

Following this, the MLC approached the police and lodged a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the Jubilee Hills police registered a case and took up investigation into the alleged cheating.

The police are investigating the circumstances under which the money was collected and the role of the accused in the purported land deal.
