Andhra MP among ten caught in Moinabad drug party raid

The Telangana police’s EAGLE team raided the farmhouse of a former MLA in Moinabad, detaining ten individuals, including an Andhra Pradesh MP and a woman, on suspicion of drug use.

Hyderabad: The EAGLE team of Telangana police raided the farmhouse of a former MLA at Moinabad and caught ten persons including an MP from Andhra Pradesh and a woman on suspicion of using drugs at a party.

The police sources said five people including the former MLA tested positive during the drug test, while the MP tested negative.

The raid was conducted on a tip-off by the EAGLE team with the help of Future City police about a group that had gathered for a drug party and procured cocaine.

The police seized a revolver along with live rounds and some quantity of cocaine during the raid. It is learnt that individuals had opposed the police action and refused to cooperate.

All the persons were shifted to the Moinabad police station. A case has been registered.
