Andhra Pradesh DGP orders probe into scribe’s murder

A constable, who was under suspension after a matka video went viral in social media, is suspected in the murder

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gautham Sawang on Monday ordered a thorough probe into the murder of YouTube channel reporter Kesava and take stern action against all those involved in the incident, including the constable who was suspended earlier.

Kesava, who is working as a reporter of a YouTube channel in Nandyal town of Kurnool district, was going on a two-wheeler along with his colleague Pratap. They were stopped by a constable of II Town police station and his younger brother.


They summoned Kesava saying they wanted to talk to him privately. Suddenly, the constable’s brother stabbed Kesava with a screwdriver eight times. Pratap rushed a profusely bleeding Kesava to the hospital where the doctors declared he was brought dead.

The constable, who was under suspension after a matka video went viral in social media, is suspected in the murder.
