Visakhapatnam: Former minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA representing Visakhapatnam North, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, on Monday wrote once again to the Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Tammineni Sitaram, to immediately accept his resignation to the Assembly.
Ganta who resigned in February last year to protest against the privatisation of Visakhapatnam steel plant, wrote to the Speaker that since he had submitted his resignation in Speaker format, the resignation should be accepted.
He recalled that earlier, he had also met the Speaker personally, seeking acceptance of the resignation.
