Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh state government employees’ union leaders who are demanding withdrawal of GOs pertaining to PRC, served strike notice on the government declaring that they would go on strike from February 6 midnight if their demands are not met.
A delegation of 20 members of the steering committee in the name PRC Sadhana Samiti handed over the notice to General Administration Department Principal Secretary Sashibhushan Kumar in the absence of Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma who is away in Delhi. In the notice, they said that a PRC struggle committee with employees, teachers and pensioners’ associations was formed and the strike would continue till the PRC GOs are withdrawn.
They also pointed out that the GOs were issued without the taking into consideration the opinions and objections of the employees and pensioners and the GOs would be result in their losing a lot. Protest programmes were chalked out and they would go on an indefinite strike, they warned in the notice addressed to the Chief Secretary.
