Hyderabad: Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan who was admitted at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Gachibowli, on November 17 after testing positive for Covid-19 was discharged on Tuesday.
The clinical parameters of Andhra Pradesh Governor showed complete recovery from the disease, AIG Hospital doctors said.
“At the time of admission, he had high inflammatory markers with CRP levels at 130 and CT severity score of 9/25 while maintaining stable oxygen saturation at 96 percent on room air. He was diagnosed with moderate Covid disease and remained under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team throughout and was initially administered the monoclonal antibody cocktail,” doctors said.
Following the therapy, the clinical symptoms of AP Governor started to improve with a noticeable decrease in CRP levels from 130 to 30 to less than 10 at the time of discharge. Following the standard protocol, two RT-PCR tests within a span of two days were conducted in which he tested negative.
“We are extremely glad that Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has made a complete recovery and his hospital stay was uneventful. The team at AIG Hospitals which comprised pulmonologists, internal medicine, cardiologists, gastroenterologists and critical care was looking after every minute details of his health parameters.
