Amaravati: Cinematography minister Perni Nani has announced that films which exceed Rs.100 crore budget excluding remunerations are eligible to apply for hike in rates of tickets.
Talking to media persons here Thursday, he said that RRR movie producers had applied for permission to increase the rates of tickets and a decision would be taken by the committee set up for the purpose.
The movie ticket rates could be increased in accordance with the GO for the first ten days of the release of the movie, and the government would take a decision without placing undue burden on the people.
The minister also disclosed that the tenders were finalised for online ticket system which would be put into practice shortly.
