Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Police on Wednesday took into custody actor, writer, and former Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation, Posani Krishna Murali, from his house at Raidurgam on Wednesday.

A YSR Congress Party supporter, Krishna Murali was at his flat in My Home Apartments at Raidurgam when a police team from Sambepalli police station came and took him into custody.


A case is registered against Krishna Murali in Obulavarpalle police station in Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh recently under Sections 196, 353 (2), 111 r/w 3(5) of BNS Act. The police intimated the actor’s wife about his arrest.

There are multiple cases filed in different police stations against Posani Krishna Murali for his derogatory comments against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh. The Andhra Pradesh CID also booked a case against him. He is being taken to Andhra Pradesh where he will be produced before the court.
