Amravati: As many as 12,561 COVID infections were added in Andhra Pradesh during the past 24 hours.

According to a bulletin of Medical and Health department here on Friday, 12 deaths were reported during the period–three in Visakhapatnam, two each in Kurnool and Nellore and one each in Anatapur, Chittoor, Guntur, Vizianagaram and West Godavari districts.

Also, 40,635 samples were tested, taking the total number of tests to 3,23,65,775 so far.

The total number of positive cases was 22,48,608 and the recoveries 21,20,717.

The death toll since the outbreak of the pandemic is 14,591 and at present, there were 1,13,300 active cases in the state, the bulletin said.
