Andhra Pradesh: Shops in Vijayawada to close on Saturday

A resolution to this effect was unanimously adopted at a meeting of the Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industry held here on Friday.

Andhra Pradesh: Shops in Vijayawada to close on Saturday

Vijayawada: All shops in Vijayawada will remain closed on Sunday as part of measures to control the second wave of coronavirus disease which is sweeping the state.

A resolution to this effect was unanimously adopted at a meeting of the Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industry held here on Friday.


The meeting also decided to close all shops and establishments by 6 p.m. daily from Monday to April 30 and extend VCCI cooperation to the COVID control measures in the state, VCCI president Konakalla Vidyadhara Rao said.

He urged all shops and business houses to extend their cooperation fully in implementing the decision and also ensure their staff wore masks and followed sanitisation and social distancing measures besides creating awareness among the consumers to follow all COVID norms.
