Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government will construct 15.1 lakh houses in the first phase to the beneficiaries without collecting even one rupee from the beneficiaries, Housing minister Sriranganatha Raju said here on Thursday.

The houses would be built at a cost of Rs.26,000 crore with quality material and without compromising on quality, he stated. “Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has kept his promise made to the poor during his padayatra. While there were Rs.1400 crore dues during Chandrababu Naidu regime, the Chief Minister has directed that the funds should be released for the poor in two instalments,” he disclosed.
