Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said boosting state revenue, reducing the debt burden and integrating futuristic technology, among other initiatives, are the way forward for the state.

Giving a presentation on the Finance department, the Chief Minister said the state will focus on capital projects, develop logistics and attract investments to ensure welfare and good governance.

“Enhance revenue mobilisation by increasing the state’s own revenue and capex through PPP and VGF (viability gap funding). Reduce the debt burden to create fiscal space for developmental activities,” Naidu told reporters.

The CM highlighted that AI, quantum computing and the latest technologies such as data centres, wearables, medtech, drones and others should be integrated to establish Andhra Pradesh as a hub for next-generation technology and innovation.

He listed capital projects such as the greenfield capital city of Amaravati, the Polavaram Project, other irrigation projects, roads, ports, railways, airports and others to create a significant economic impact in the southern state.

Elaborating on other key components of the way forward, the CM emphasised developing a logistics network to make Andhra Pradesh India’s industrial gateway.

The CM noted that the TDP-led government will work towards attracting investments and ensuring welfare and good governance to achieve a “healthy, wealthy and happy society”. “Our aspiration of achieving a 15 per cent growth rate keeps us focused on achieving the vision of SwarnaAndhra@2047 (golden Andhra),” he said.

Further, the CM asserted that the NDA coalition extended “more welfare than what it promised”, saying reviving “Brand Andhra” will ensure that everything falls into place, among other initiatives.
