Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has decided to write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for safeguarding the state’s interests in the water dispute with the neighbouring Telangana state.
The Cabinet which met here on Wednesday, resolved that there was no question of compromise with regard to the rights of Andhra Pradesh state. It also found fault with Telangana on its attitude in the issue, allegedly going ahead to generate hydro-electricity at Srisailam although the water had not reached the minimum drawing level in the reservoir.
