Police have registered a case against two bus drivers for negligence and overspeeding in the Kurnool bus fire that claimed 20 lives. The Bengaluru-bound private bus caught fire after hitting a two-wheeler, dragging it nearly 200 metres.

A 50-year-old farmer, narrowly escaped the Kurnool bus inferno that killed 19 passengers. Returning to Bengaluru after Diwali celebrations, Reddy recalled waking up around 2.30 am to thick smoke and chaos as passengers screamed and tried to escape.

The bus on its way to Bengaluru from Hyderabad hit a motorcycle and fire engulfed immediately. There were about 40 passengers in the bus. More details are awaited.
