Sangareddy: The Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran, who met Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao in Hyderabad on Friday, has urged him to grant Rs 10 crore for taking up the construction of a commercial complex in Andole-Jogipet Municipality area.
Saying that they were finding it difficult to raise funds on their own since Andole-Jogipet was a relatively small urban body, Kranthi Kiran said the commercial complex will help to generate regular income to the civic body.
The MLA also briefed the Municipal Administration Minister over the progress of various ongoing development works in the municipality. Rao has directed the officials to take necessary steps for releasing the fund after going through the representation presented by the MLA.
Later, newly appointed TRS Sanagreddy President Chintha Prabhakar, District Co-operative Marketing Committee Chairman Malkapuram Shiva Kumar, Sangareddy Municipal Chiarperson Bongula Vijayalakshmi and other TRS leaders met Rama Rao. Rao has congratulated Prabhakar and asked him to strengthen the party base in the district.
