Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Tuesday felicitated the officers of Langer Houz police station for ensuring the conviction of a man who raped a minor girl two years ago.
A local court awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Pausula Pedda Phakirappa (38) and imposed a fine of Rs 28,000 for kidnapping and raping a girl aged seven years, in 2019.
After a complaint, the police had booked a case and arrested the culprit. After the trial of the case, the court pronounced the judgment on Monday.
Anjani Kumar felicitated Sub Inspector – D Srinu, Additional SP – N Narsimha Reddy, ACP (Asifnagar) R G Siva Maruthi, Inspector Langer Houz, L Bhaskar Reddy, Assistant Public Prosecutor, K Durgaji and constables M Mahender, P Danaiah and V Pruthi for bringing the accused to book.
