Medak: An ANM attempted suicide by consuming four metformin 500 mg tablets at a primary health centre in Veludurthi on Friday. The ANM, Rajini, made the attempt after higher officials at the hospital asked her to discharge duties at a health sub-centre located at Masaipet.
Rajini accused doctors and staff of harassing her. She was rushed to the government hospital in Medak, where she is undergoing treatment. The health department officials have launched an inquiry into the incident.
