Another government teacher booked for misbehaving with students in Adilabad
A government school teacher in Adilabad has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly misbehaving with students. The case follows similar recent incidents in the district, raising concerns over student safety in schools

Adilabad: Another teacher was booked on charges of misbehaving with students at a government school in Thalamadugu on Friday. Police said that a case was registered against Hindi language teacher Sukumar under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, based on a complaint received from the victims.
The students alleged that the teacher touched them inappropriately under the guise of teaching the language. Parents of the students approached the police and lodged a complaint seeking action against Sukumar. They requested officials to take action against the teacher for misbehaving with the students.
A few days ago, a teacher was booked on charges of misbehaving with students at a school in Gudihathnoor mandal under the POCSO Act. A case was registered against a teacher of a school in Adilabad town for allegedly sending obscene messages to girl students on the instant messaging application WhatsApp. This case was also booked under the provisions of the POCSO Act on April 10.
