Anti-party activities will invite strict action: Errabelli to TRS cadres
Asking the party leaders not to get disappointed for not getting the ticket, he assured that the party would definitely offer the committed workers with suitable positions
Warangal Urban: Promising party leaders who filed nomination papers for the GWMC election expecting the party ticket that they will be given suitable posts by the leadership, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao was, however, categorical in stating that those who work against the party interests or make comments against the party publicly would attract severe action.
Speaking to the media after a coordination committee on Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) election here on Wednesday, Rao said: “There is tough competition to contest as candidates from TRS party, but the party is giving tickets considering social justice, role played by the workers in Telangana movement and seniority.”
Asking the party leaders not to get disappointed for not getting the ticket, he assured that the party would definitely offer the committed workers with suitable positions as promised by the party president K Chandrashekhar Rao and working president KT Rama Rao. He, however, asked the party candidates in the GWMC election to move forward by seeking the support of those who failed to get the ticket.
“Leaders who do not get tickets can express their opinion before the party coordination committee, if they have any objections. But they do not go public and resort to anti-party activities,” he warned. Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod said that they would win the GWMC election and retain the mayor post. “We will win all the seats and offer as a gift to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao,” she added. State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Boinpally Vinod Kumar said that they were facing a little difficulty in allotting the tickets due to de-limitation of the wards and reservations. “The TRS party has a clear vision on the development of Warangal city. It will be a satellite city of Hyderabad like Pune is to Mumbai,” he added. Meanwhile, 18 aspirants including former MP Gundu Sudharani were given the party tickets on the occasion.
