Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet which met here on Friday, approved spending Rs.7,880 crore for construction of 16 new medical colleges in the State.

The meeting also sanctioned Rs.3,820 crore for developing 11 existing medical colleges.


The other Cabinet decisions include providing jobs on compassionate grounds to families of employees who died of COVID, setting up the Anakapalle Regional Agriculture Institute, and utilisatiohn lands of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation under the growth policy.
