AP Director General of fire department visits Sigachi accident site
AP Fire Services DG Madireddi Pratap visited the Sigachi Industries blast site in Sangareddy, following the deaths of 10 AP workers. A detailed report will be submitted to the state government
Director General of Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department, Madireddi Pratap visited Sigachi Industries Limited accident site in Pashamylaram industrial area in Sangareddy district, on Saturday
Following the death of 10 workers from Andhra Pradesh in the June 10 blast, and with one person still reported missing, the AP government deputed Madireddi Pratap to inspect the site.
Sangareddy District Fire Officer Nageshwar Rao and other officials briefed him about the explosion and the ongoing investigations.
Pratap is expected to submit a detailed report on the incident to the Andhra Pradesh government. Several other workers from Andhra Pradesh were injured in the blast.
So far, 46 people have died in the incident, while eight remain unaccounted for. At least 12 persons injured in the blast are still receiving treatment in various hospitals, while many others have been discharged.
