Hyderabad: BJP State unit president Bandi Sanjay on Monday said that without BJPs support, the AP Reorganisation Act would not have been passed in Parliament.
Speaking to the media after formally welcoming former Minister Eatala Rajender into the party fold here, Sanjay said one should recall how Telangana agitation reached a new high after former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj actively participated in the agitation.
“After Rajender joined BJP, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao seems to be in panic. Till recently, he was confined to Pragathi Bhavan but now he is participating in a series of events and programmes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dubbak MLA M Raghunanadan Rao said the State government was constructing Rythu Vedikas, Vaikunta Dhamams and Palle Prakruthi Vanams using NREGS funds but was not giving due credit to the Central government.
“Even the cost for digging pits for planting saplings and watering them as part of Haritha Haram is being borne from Central government funds,” he said.
The State government boasts of being the top State in paddy production but as per FCI statistics till June 17, Punjab remains the top State and Telangana is ranked second, he claimed.
